Mystery Babylon goes back to the Tower of Babel and Nimrod, through Egypt, Greece and Rome…but I think it goes back before that – to the lie in the Garden.

From the lie in the garden (that God was holding back good and wisdom from humanity and that we could be as gods or as God) onward, Satan wants to be known as the savior of mankind (luciferianism) and become their god. This is a large part of Gnosticism (hidden knowledge that Lucifer brings to humanity), as I understand it…which is modern Mystery Babylon manifested in any of the Mystery Schools—Freemasonry, Rosacrucianism, Roman Catholicism, The Jesuit Order, The Nazi Party, Kabbalah, The New Age, etc…the teaching that God (Yahweh) is bad and out to hold back good from humans and to harm them, and that Lucifer (“Light Bearer”) is good and wants to bring enlightenment to humans. Anywhere the spirit of anti-christ is at work, Mystery Babylon is at work. This  includes Islam/Mecca, as Derek Gilbert and Joel Richardson point out correctly, and can also be at work in Israel/Jerusalem.

Isa 14:13-14 ESV 13 You said in your heart, ‘I will ascend to heaven; above the stars of God I will set my throne on high; I will sit on the mount of assembly in the far reaches of the north; 14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will make myself like the Most High.’

above the stars of God This phrase describes heavenly beings (see Job 38:7–8 and note). In this verse it serves to identify the pride of both the king of Babylon and the original divine being whose story serves as the backdrop. This being, named in Isa 14:12, wanted to rule the divine council. [may I (Gary) say…WANTS to rule the present Divine Council or CREATE HIS OWN, with himself as god]

Notes: 38:7 the morning stars were singing together Laying a foundation stone was a cause for celebration (Ezra 3:10–11). Here, God describes the heavenly celebration that accompanied the setting of the foundation of the earth. The Psalms describe scenes of the stars and angels singing praise together (e.g., Pss 19:1; 148:1–4).

the sons of God Refers to the members of the heavenly host. The prologue describes this same group presenting themselves to Yahweh (see Job 1:6; 2:1). Here, they rejoice at God’s amazing acts of creation.

When he, (Lucifer or Satan) found out that humans would eventually be ruling participants of the Divine Council, he began undermining God’s plan and implementing his own plan to set up his own divine council, including subservient humans and possibly Nephilim in the last days. Lucifer’s (with his fallen followers) knowledge is portrayed as the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil. He began giving this knowledge out with the serpent’s lie in the garden, and has dispensed it to humanity whenever they will listen ever since (through the Watchers of Daniel and I Enoch and the spirits of their progeny – the Nephilim).

His plan is Mystery Babylon.

Back to Nimrod:

Nimrod was trying to bring to earth and manifest the gods of the world before the flood – the gods of Atlantis that ruled the earth in the days of Noah, comprised of the fallen sons of god (Watchers—fallen angels), and their offspring (the Nephilim). In more modern times, this is called “Externalization of the Hierarchy“ (a book by Alice Bailey), which is being attempted today—so Nimrod’s effort at Babel was to open the gate of the gods (one of the meanings of the word, Babel) and bring “heaven to earth”—Hell in reality (as above, so below). He was doing this by building his very own “mount of assembly” to meet with the old gods—the ziggurat at Babel.

Before and during the days of Noah, these gods and their teachings were not hidden – everything was out in the open, according to the book of Enoch. After the Flood and the incarceration of the Watchers that sinned, and then the scattering of the nations (disinheriting of the nations by Yahweh) at the confusion of languages at Babel, they had to resort to the hidden or occult strategy of the Mystery Schools or what I think the book of Revelation refers to as Mystery Babylon.

Mystery Babylon is the spirit that has inhabited all of the seven kings and kingdoms that she has ridden since Babylon and its tower. Babylon the Great (USA?) is the final manifestation of Mystery Babylon (see The Final Babylon, by Doug Woodward, Dean McGriff, Doug Krieger; America, the Babylon, by R.A. Coombs; and  William Cooper’s Mystery Babylon series). The final externalization of Mystery Babylon will be Babylon the Great, which many have concluded is the United States.

I used to hear the description of the sacrament of baptism as, “the outward sign of an inward and spiritual grace”. The manifestations of Mystery Babylon throughout history could be described similarly as “the outward signs (expressions) of an inward and spiritual evil”.

Perhaps the seven historical kings and the eighth, which is either one of the seven, or of the same beastly spirit as the seven, have all been filled with the spirit of Nimrod, whether literally or figuratively. Just like Nimrod, who “began to be a  gibborim” – they too, have become “beasts” or some sort of human/watcher/demon hybrid…thus the appellation, “beast.” This last beast is the anti-christ, and his 10 kings that give him their power are also part of the larger beast kingdom and thus nephilim hybrids. All beasts. Not human.

Michael Heiser says in Episode 293 (Exodus 23:20-33—mostly discussing the giant clans):

“It gives us a link back to the flood. The people who come here—the Amorites, the Hittite-Hurrians, the Sea Peoples—all bring with them not only their own giant traditions, but their own literature about themselves and  their relationship to Babylon and the pre- and post-flood Apkallu, the survival of the civilization of Babylon, all that stuff…

And those religions and traditions are traceable back to Babylon, who is the chaos agent, the anti-Eden, the force of everything against the way God wants it for Genesis 1-11, and really for the rest of the Bible—the Torah especially.”

So Heiser is saying that Babylon goes back to the Nephilim, from before and after the flood.

James Musker in his book, “The New World Religion and the Beliefs of the Elite”, has this to say:

Nimrod was the theoretical start of the Elite ruling over mankind via secret hidden agreements normally via Secret Societies…From ancient times these Societies or Cults created religions around them as a type of control mechanism to help with the functioning of government. In the ancient world there were many Secret Societies and the top men in them formed a Council which used to meet and so over time they all became connected. Every now and again throughout history we see the same Cult being expressed and emerging as a Philosophy or Secret group, and then it disappears again into the underground only to emerge later in a similar format. This cult is given the name ‘Mystery Babylon’ in Revelation and refers to all the religious and apostate beliefs of any non-Christian belief system.

The unifying principle at the highest levels of Mystery Babylon is the concept that by Initiation and via a secret knowledge the Elite are able and deserve to rule over the horde of masses, via the divine spark or fire of the intellect…These secret societies…have always existed and their presence on the world stage has always been central to how the world has been moulded. The men of the Inner Circle view themselves as descendants of this historical heritage and mystical inheritors of the great secrets.

This is Mystery Babylon, and the “Spirit of Babylon’ is still trying today to complete the work started by Nimrod.

The New Atlantis

The Club of Rome map that has 10 regions to govern the world is interesting.

Plato’s Critias speaks of the 10 kings who ruled the 10 regions.

Looking at Plato, we see the 10 kings ruled by the commands of Poseidon (one of the major Greek deities known as Olympians) during the Golden Age. They possessed a “divine nature” because they were the “seed of the gods”. Although Plato doesn’t specifically state that they were giants—being the offspring of the gods would make them human/angel (or “sons of God”) hybrids in the language of Genesis 6. This would describe the Nephilim, or giants.

Is it possible that the New World Order (Mystery Babylon) plan is to bring forth giant (nephilim) kings to rule the 10 regions that the Club of Rome has planned, with The New Atlantis (the United States-as identified by Francis Bacon in his book by the same name) as the ruling region in their rebirth of the original Golden Age that God submerged under the flood of Noah?

Dan 7:24-27 ESV – 24 As for the ten horns, out of this kingdom ten kings shall arise, and another shall arise after them; he shall be different from the former ones, and shall put down three kings. 25 He shall speak words against the Most High, and shall wear out the saints of the Most High, and shall think to change the times and the law; and they shall be given into his hand for a time, times, and half a time. 26 But the court shall sit in judgment, and his dominion shall be taken away, to be consumed and destroyed to the end. 27 And the kingdom and the dominion and the greatness of the kingdoms under the whole heaven shall be given to the people of the saints of the Most High; his kingdom shall be an everlasting kingdom, and all dominions shall serve and obey him.’

Rev 17:12 ESV – 12 And the ten horns that you saw are ten kings who have not yet received royal power, but they are to receive authority as kings for one hour, together with the beast.

Dan 2:44 ESV – 44 And in the days of those kings the God of heaven will set up a kingdom that shall never be destroyed, nor shall the kingdom be left to another people. It shall break in pieces all these kingdoms and bring them to an end, and it shall stand forever,

I don’t think it is coincidence that the Genesis record together with Bible prophecy and the story of Atlantis are nearly identical.

The scarlet colored Beast is representative of the Babylonian beast system, built on knowledge passed over or through the flood from the Watchers and their progeny (nephilim) on to Nimrod. After the Babel incident, this knowledge had to be hidden in the many Mystery Schools and esoteric religions and was manifested in the 7 kings/kingdoms/heads/mountains throughout history until now.

Harlot in the Wilderness (17:3), sits on a scarlet colored Beast (17:3), sits on 7 Heads=7 Mountains=7 Kings (17:9), sits on many Waters (17:1, 15), the Woman is a City which reigns over the kings of the earth (Mystery Babylon).

Michael Heiser talks about the wilderness in his discussion of the Day of Atonement in “The Unseen Realm”

• the other goat (scapegoat) is “for Azazel.” Azazel is regarded as the name of a demon in the Dead Sea Scrolls and other ancient Jewish books…in one scroll Azazel is the leader of the angels that sinned in Genesis 6:1–4. Also in 1 Enoch (8:1; 9:6; 10:4–8; 13:1; 54:5–6; 55:4; 69:2).
• They were imprisoned in a pit or abyss in the netherworld. Azazel’s realm was somewhere out in the desert, outside the confines of holy ground. It was a place associated with supernatural evil.
• The wilderness was associated with the forces of chaos, which are hostile to God.
• Leviticus 17:7 suggests that Israelites saw the desert as spiritually sinister: “So they shall no more sacrifice their sacrifices to goat demons, after whom they whore” (ESV).

So we can say that the harlot in the wilderness is living in the demonic realm or chaos.

Mystery Babylon sits on many Waters (more chaos, and the abyss/abzu)

Genesis 1 tells us that after God created the heavens and the earth, there was a period of time that the earth and the waters were without form and void…i.e. in chaos. From the Faithlife Study Bible:

1:2 formless and empty The Hebrew terms used here, tohu and bohu, describe material substance lacking boundary, order, and definition.

darkness Throughout the Bible darkness represents evil or calamity. Here, darkness refers to the unformed and unfilled conditions of the material of v. 1.

the deep The Hebrew word used here, tehom, refers to the primordial or primeval sea—the cosmic waters of chaos.

So, again it is emphasized that Mystery Babylon sits in chaos, or the demonic realm.

In recent years, scholars have learned that the name Babylon was interchangeable with other city names, including Eridu. So “Babylon” didn’t always refer to the city of Babylon in ancient texts.

Archaeologists have uncovered eighteen levels of the temple to Enki at Eridu. The oldest levels of the E-abzu, a small structure less than ten feet square, date to the founding of the city. And consider that the spot remained sacred to Enki long after the city was deserted around 2000 B.C. The temple remained in use until the 5th century B.C., nearly five thousand years after the first crude altar was built to accept offerings of fish to Enki, the god of the subterranean aquifer, the abzu.

Now, this is where we tell you that abzu (ab = water + zu = deep) is very likely where we get our English word “abyss.” And the name Enki is a compound word. En is Sumerian for “lord,” and ki is the word for “earth.” Thus, Enki, god of the abzu, was “lord of the earth.”

Do you remember Jesus calling someone “the ruler of this world?”  Or Paul referring to “the god of this world?”  Who were they talking about?

Yeah. Satan.

…Besides building a fabulous temple for Inanna, the goddess of, well, prostitutes, Enmerkar/Nimrod also wanted to expand and upgrade Enki’s abzu—the abyss.

“Let the people of Aratta bring down for me the mountain stones from their mountain, build the great shrine for me, erect the great abode for me, make the great abode, the abode of the gods, famous for me, make my me* prosper in Kulaba, make the abzu grow for me like a holy mountain, make Eridug (Eridu) gleam for me like the mountain range, cause the abzu shrine to shine forth for me like the silver in the lode. When in the abzu I utter praise, when I bring the me from Eridug, when, in lordship, I am adorned with the crown like a purified shrine, when I place on my head the holy crown in Unug Kulaba, then may the …… of the great shrine bring me into the jipar, and may the …… of the jipar bring me into the great shrine. May the people marvel admiringly, and may Utu (the sun god) witness it in joy.”¹

That’s the issue Yahweh had with it right there. This tower project wasn’t about hubris or pride; it was to build the abode of the gods right on top of the abzu. [abyss]

Babylon, with its tower, was the anti-Eden. Eden was a garden that God planted on a mountain (Eze 28:13-14), Mystery Babylon is the anti-Eden, built on 7 mountains by man, meant to usher in the Luciferian New World Order “paradise/utopia.”

Divided into 3 parts:

Washington, DC (US – the New Atlantis) = Political/Military Babylon headship

London = Financial Babylon headship

Rome = Religious Babylon headship

All three have obelisks with Rome and DC including the Dome (womb) of Isis in their symbolism

So what about Jerusalem?

Rev 11:8 ESV 8 and their dead bodies will lie in the street of the great city that symbolically (greek:  “spiritually”) is called Sodom and Egypt, where their Lord was crucified.

So, what if their dead bodies are physically lying in the physical city of Jerusalem, but that metaphysically, it was Mystery Babylon that killed them, the hidden, occult evil behind the world system – Sodom and Egypt being symbolic examples of that Mystery (the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil/the Watchers knowledge/influence)

Jerusalem/Israel is influenced by Mystery Babylon – very occult, Kabbalah, etc. – so is Rome, London, Washington DC, Neom, etc.

Bottom line, I think this illustrates that there is a hidden, Mystery Babylon, and a Babylon that is the manifestation thereof in the world – the US being the final City-State manifestation. Jerusalem is being used by Mystery Babylon and the Anti-christ will eventually set up the seat of his world government there, it appears. At least he wants to be worshipped there, and will get that for a very short period of time.
